COLOMBIA: ONE-TO-ONE BUSINESS CLINICS

The opportunities for UK businesses to operate in Colombia are vast. Over 100 UK businesses are already established in Colombia, including well-known companies like Virgin, BT and Shell, as well as some small and medium sized companies. Colombia is ranked by the World Bank as the 34th easiest country in which to do business, it ranks first in Latin America and the Caribbean. Colombia is one of the most open markets in Latin America, with 13 Free Trade Agreements (FTAs) and is a regional hub with duty-free access to the other Andean nations, MERCOSUR (Argentina, Brazil, Paraguay and Uruguay) and Chile.

CHANGING PLACES EVENING NETWORKING

CHINA: *ONE-TO-ONE BUSINESS CLINICS


With a population of 1.3 billion, China is the world's second largest economy. It is increasingly playing an important and influential role in global economics, with the country being the largest contributor to world growth since the global financial crisis of 2008. This is further driven by the very rapid growth of the Chinese middle class, representing just 4% of the population in 2000 and on track to reach 70% by 2020. COMPANY MISSION TO VIETNAM: HO CHI MINH CITY AND HANOI


Vietnam is one of the most vibrant economies in Asia, with a large market for capital goods and a growing domestic market for consumer goods. It has an ambitious programme of major infrastructure developments including new urban railway networks, a new international hub airport and expansion of regional airports.

The food and beverage sector is considered among the rising sectors in Vietnam, thanks to its 95 million emerging market population and its fast GDP growth over several years (6.21% in 2015, 6.68% in 2014). Vietnamese consumers are shifting towards consumption of beverages with higher value, creating gaps for penetration to high-end beverage segments. Though both local and foreign players have attempted to respond to this shift, overseas companies currently enjoy the edge because Vietnamese consumers favour international brands.

The company mission will include B2B tailored agenda with interested contacts and prospects in Ho Chi Minh City and Hanoi. As well as meetings with distributors, buyers and partners in Vietnam.
